SecturaFAB - What's NEW - July 2023
Introduction: We are pleased to announce the release
of SecturaFAB Version 2023.07.10.3! This update primarily focuses on resolving some
critical bugs but also contains enhancements to improve your quoting and
estimating workflows. We believe that this version will significantly improve
the accuracy and efficiency of your quoting and estimating processes.
Read on to explore what's new:
o Previously, users and integrations encountered a problem when attempting to upload CSV files containing product data into SecturaFAB. The software failed to process and store the information from the CSV files, resulting in an incomplete or missing product list.
o In this update, we have rectified this issue by implementing a fix that ensures CSV uploads are now properly processed and data is accurately written to the product lists.
o
·
Cost Category in Operation
Calculators
o Previously, when users modified the settings of an operation calculator the Cost Category option would sometimes default to a different cost category. This resulted in the incorrect categorization of costs during calculations, potentially leading to inaccurate estimates.
o In this update, we have addressed this issue and ensured that the Cost Category setting in the calculators now properly retains the changes made by users. With this bug fix, users can confidently update and modify their calculators without encountering any loss of the Cost Category settings, guaranteeing accurate cost categorization throughout the quoting and estimating process.
o
· Custom Data Fields on Quote Line Items
o In response to user feedback and evolving business needs, we have expanded the functionality of SecturaFab to include custom data fields on quote line items.
o With this feature, users can now define and include additional data fields specific to their business requirements for each line item in a quote.
o The custom data fields are fully customizable, allowing users to create and label fields based on their unique needs. This empowers businesses to adapt the quoting process to their specific workflows and effectively communicate critical information to customers.
o
o To setup your custom data fields simply go to Setup -> Preferences & Costs -> Quote Details
o
o At the bottom of this page, you will find Setup – Custom Line Item Fields
o
Vendor ID Returning null value to Quote Endpoint in the API
o Previously, when users or integrations made requests to the Quote endpoint in the API to retrieve a quote's details, the Vendor ID variable would incorrectly return a null value instead of the expected GUID value.
o In this update, we have addressed this issue and ensured that the Quote endpoint in the API now correctly returns the GUID for the Vendor ID variable, providing accurate and reliable information.
o
o
· Machine File Default Values
o In a recent SecturaFAB update we introduced an updated Graphical User Interface (GUI) for managing machine files. Previously fields that were not defined in the machine file itself would inherit its unit properties from the dropdown. In this build we have updated this functionality to ensure the units default to the same unit standard as others in the machine file or your default unit standard set within your tenant.
o
